Ballet & Tap

One of the many joys in having little girls....Ballet & Tap!
Lauren started dance in January and has been preparing for her very first recital coming up in May. We are so excited to see her perform, we can hardly stand it! I must say...she is one of the most graceful 3 year old ballerinas we have ever seen and we couldn't be more proud of her.

getting ready for dance!

Easter Part II

Here are the second set of Easter Pics from Sunday.
We went to our neighbors house for a fun morning of egg hunting and brunch. T & J are truly the most thoughtful neighbors to allow us to run through their house and yard.  The kids enjoyed the fun activities planned.  Good Times!!
(Kelley, thanks for your beautiful pics, I have not uploaded ours yet from that morning...ah!)

Easter Part I

Easter is a very long weekend for us. From Easter egg hunts to family gatherings, it seems like we never stop.Well, we try to stop for naps, but sometimes that doesn't always work out as planned.
The Saturday prior to Easter we went to an Egg Extravaganza in Plano - lots of pics below...and more to come from the rest of the weekend! (no egg hunt pics...those parents were vultures...c.r.a.z.y!)
dylan is just not a big fan of the camera...i'll keep trying

Visit with the Easter Bunny

This year we just happened to be at the mall playing and noticed the Easter Bunny was in town. Surprisingly, there was only one child waiting in the line. I would have fully expected the line to be down the entire length of the mall. For Santa…YES, but not for the Easter Bunny!

outside of the mall admiring the pretty flowers

lauren was lucky enough to actually dance with the bunny!

So, here you have it…the result of our photo shoot.
I am sure Dylan is going to love his mama for putting him through these torturous moments in life.
Sorry baby, I love you!

Weekend Napping...or not!

You know those weekends when your pre-schooler wants to skip her nap? Well, if you have a toddler or pre-schooler and he/she hasn’t started this faze…don’t worry it is coming soon. So don’t think you’re just the lucky one that it hasn’t happened to! I didn’t think this could happen to us, but it is. Lauren naps well at school all week long, but for some reason on the weekends naps just aren’t her thing. But she still has to spend ‘quiet’ time in her room.
Saturday - Daddy walks into her room to make sure she is asleep. She is lying in bed with her eyes shut (twitching/blinking), but shut.

Daddy: “Lauren, I know you’re not sleeping

Lauren: “YES, I am” (with her eyes still shut)

Daddy: (trying to keep from busting out laughing)Lauren, if you don’t go to sleep, you are not going to do anything fun this afternoon”.

Lauren: “Daddy, but I am sleeping…my eyes are closed!”

seriously...she is a funny little girl!
