there's no place like home....there's no place like home!!

Our family has spent some quality time in the master closet over the past few weeks due to the crazy amounts of rain, wind, and hail in Plano and surrounding areas. There were a couple of times that I thought the roof was going to fly off our house and I was going to end up like Dorothy on the wizard of oz....except, I don't have a dog, don't have red slippers, and my hair isn't blonde or long enough for those super cute braids anymore....but you know what I mean....
It was scary times!
I thought April showers were supposed to bring May Flowers....well, how are the flowers gonna grow if the wind keeps up-routing our gardens...GEEZ??!! :)

And then last week, I was looking out of my office building and noticed this beautiful Rainbow shining through the sky- IT WAS WAY COOL!! ( i felt bad for complaining...)
(it's hard to tell in the picture, but you could see every single color clearly outlined.....Wow! )

Have a great week!

"there was even a petting zoo. not too sure about this one.... "
"I'll feed this little one...he's cute."

Weekend in Shreveport

On our Anniversary Weekend, we had the pleasure of attending a friends wedding in Shreveport, LA. (3/15/08)
Have you ever been to a wedding on your wedding Anniversary? I strongly recommend - just tell your man that you have a special night planned out with just the two of you, drive to a local church where a wedding is being held, and walk right in and say, "groom's side please", then have a seat. Totally kidding! But really, attending a wedding on the same day, same time, as your wedding date 5 years prior is a really neat moment. Sitting in the church listening to those sweet words about bringing two people together and becoming ONE, gave me chills all over. I even got a little teary eyed.....

Congratulations to Angie and Korey on their nuptials! They are such a cute couple. Their wedding reception had lots of fun activities...Elvis came by for a special performance, Angie sang to Korey, and Korey was able to get his "Michael Jackson" groove on. Lots of entertainment! It was also nice catching up with old friends we hadn't seen in a while.
Sorry, I didn't get a picture of happy couple together, but I managed to steal the bride for a minute....she looked Beautiful!!

We also had a great time hanging out with the Tuckers on our road trip to Shreveport. Kevin and Tucker enjoyed pretending they were in the Daytona 500 as they raced past all the other cars on the highway. Luckily no speeding tickets along the way. Here is an exciting picture of Kasey and I with Elvis. And they say he's dead, pssh, whatever - we saw him in person. HA!

And then of course, the Sinclairs themselves.... (thanks to Mike Nichols for being a great photographer ;) )
