18 months....

Lauren is 18 months today and I must say...time sure does fly when you're having fun!! Where has the time gone? You know, everyone tells you to enjoy every single moment with your baby, because they grow up so fast.... You listen to them, you try to take their advise, and STILL the time goes by and you wish you would have savoured the moments more. Geeez, can't we just bottle up every cute little thing about your baby? Maybe I should invent something like that! HA! j/k.

Little Lauren has been so super talkative lately that it's too cute to describe. And of course, every kid is the cutest and says the cutest things...but mine IS the cutest. :) She just loves, loves, loves her "Da-Ddy". She emphasizes the last syllable so well...she could say it for hours, I just love it!! And then of course, when she's with her "Da-Ddy", she loves saying "MAMA" (of course)

One cute thing I will share is this: We have started a night time prayer every night before she goes "Night-Night". As soon I say, "let's pray", she grabs both of our hands and closes her eyes...the cutest part is she just can't wait to say "A--MEN", she says it a couple of times throughout the prayer. Although, I think she's starting to figure out when we're almost done. SO CUTE!
Her teacher at school shared this with me: Every day at naptime, she likes patting her friends to sleep. I actually tuned in to the online webcam and noticed her doing that one day. The sweetest thing I've ever seen...made my eyes water!

Boy or Girl??!!

I had my 2nd Sonogram Tuesday afternoon with Dr. Gore. It was one of those genetic testing appointments, so of course it was a little worrisome. He had great news to share...there was no thickening of the neck, Thank God.
I was also very excited to see the latest baby picture. Last time I had a sonogram the baby was a small peanut. This time around it definitely looked more like a little human. So Cute!!
My honey wasn't able to go with me because of some work training...I was really sad!

The fun part about this appointment is that they were able to tell the gender of the baby. They say it's not 100%, but this Dr is really good and he's usually pretty on target with his guesses.

As I mentioned before, Kevin couldn't go with me. So I had the Dr. write down the gender in a card and seal it up. Lots and lots ...and lots of stick-em so there was no way for me to sneak a peek. I kept thinking to myself, "It's okay, I waited 9 months to find out with Lauren, I can wait at least one day to open the envelope." We wanted it to be a special moment, so we decided that we would go to dinner and open the card as a family. It was the longest 24 hours of my life. I couldn't sleep at all - wondering, tossing, turning, thinking - "Am I going to have a little baby boy or another precious, sweet girl?"
So tonight was the night....we found out what Baby #2 is.......
You wanna guess?......if you guessed Boy, YOU ARE CORRECT!! We are so super excited. Kevin is so ready to start buying 49er gear for his little Boy and I'm excited to have the "Mama's Boy" experience. I've heard it's a real special bond.

I am still freaking out!! Gotta run, I have some Blue things to buy!!
