the most anticipated game of the year...

(okay, so Young is no longer the QB for the niners, but you get the point)
besides the Super Bowl and the boys annual flag football game......is the 49ers / cowboys matchup. this event doesn't happen every year, but this year we were lucky enough to witness it at texas stadium. as a matter of fact, this would be the last time these 2 teams would meet here. my babe had been dreaming, planning and dreaming some more for a 49er victory....it's too bad it didn't happen this time around. we did have an awesome time with our friends tossing the football, listening to music, and enjoying some delicious kman chili while tailgating on a cold sunday morning. (well not so cold in Texas, but it was wishful thinking) the outcome of the game is not what we hoped for, but had a great time anyway. maybe next time....2009 perhaps?! Until then...

Thanks for all the memories....

my little sunshine

I know many of us have tons of little nick names for our kiddos. As soon as they are born, we magically come up with every funny, silly and sweet name for them. This morning I experienced the sweetest moment with Lauren. (of course there are many, but this is the latest…)
I have called her My Little Sunshine every morning for the past 2 years…and often sing the song to her. Today, as I picked her up out of bed (half asleep), she gave me the biggest, most gentle hug and whispered…my little sunshine TO ME!!! It just melted my heart and I needed to write about it.
Aren't children little angels from God that help make our days brighter …just like the Sunshine?! Aww...

Thanksgiving Lunch at Lauren's school!

The kids sang a little Turkey Song for us and we had lunch with the classroom; it was such a fun afternoon! I need to get video of Lauren singing - too cute. When her class sang, she was too shy to perform, but she's had no problem belting it out at home.

Lauren and her best friend Lola
with daddy....(of course) :)
I want to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and family! And those that read our fun blogs that we've never met before....we appreciate you taking the time to read about the silly events in our lives. We hope that you enjoy this holiday weekend with your loved ones!

I am so thankful for my beautiful family; my sweet little boy Dylan, my precious Lauren and my loving husband Kevin, my caring parents, my brother and sisters; I am so blessed to have such a wonderful and healthy family. I love you so much and I thank God everyday for all of you!
Happy Thanksgiving!

just playing with the camera...

if you have kids, or pets...you know that you have to take a million pictures to get one nice one.
well, here is a slide show of my photo shoot.
and why is easier to get your infant to look at the camera than your child that is old enough to understand you AND speak? to top it off...she asked me to take pictures of them to begin with...then refused to look at the camera! Ah!
