This past weekend, we moved Lauren's furniture and things into the guest bedroom, which will now be her new room. We also changed her crib to toddler bed. Basically, the front panel was removed and she is free to get out when she pleases. Of course, she still doesn't know this. She just plays with her stuffed bunny and waits for us to come get her in the mornings. Yay! :) She has slept in her new room since Saturday without troubles....sheewww...so relieved. I must say that I was extremely worried about the transition. I was so afraid with her changing little personality (turning the big TWO) that she might put up a fight. She did great!!
She wants to show everyone her "new woom"...or "room". It's so cute to hear her saying showing our visitors "come see my new woom"....she must really like it. Then we finally finished painting our baby boy's room, which was Lauren's old room. She walks by that room and says, "new woom?" with a questioned look on her face, b/c it's now blue. Daddy asked her today who's room that was...and she answered "baby broders woom". She is such a smarty! ;)
I'll post some pictures of Lauren's room soon. And our baby boys' room when it's complete (which honestly may be in a month or so - sorry).
By the way, I know a lot of people have been wondering, so here is the latest.....I AM STILL PREGNANT! I'm convinced that he is now over 10lbs with no more room and I've been pregnant for 1 1/2 years......AH! My last day at work is Thursday and I am totally looking forward to it. Can't wait to be off......
Well, Well, Well, i had my 38 week sonogram on Wednesday and the prediction is that our sweet baby boy is weighing in at approximately 8lbs, 4 oz. The sonographer (if that's a word) said this is an ESTIMATE, and can be give-or-take a pound. That means, he is either 7lbs (which i can handle), or 9lbs (which i can't). His measurements indicate that he is 39 weeks 6 days....putting me at July 24th for the 40 week mark. OH WAIT, THAT IS TODAY!! So I am wondering if he will be waiting until Aug 4th???
I am not really sure what to think; part of me really wants him to be born in the next week, to complete the family tree of birthdays in July. But part of me is not quite ready; still some last minute things to be done. Let's see when HE is ready......Good Times!! :)
A couple of weeks ago, I promised that I would explain the matching green shirts in our family photo below: Well, it's not a long story, but here it is....Over the 4th of July weekend, we visited the Thompson Family Lake house with the Fishpaws and the Tuckers. The Thompsons have been taking family/ friend group photos dating back to....(well, not real sure) but a long, long, time ago. It was so nice to see the families changing, growing and adding Grandchildren to the mix.
We all decided to take a group photo on the last day to start our own tradition.
Lauren just loves playing with Dora and TJ, the talking teddy bear. She wanted me to take a picture of her hanging out with her friends. I love that cute little smile and the way she looks so happy.
Looking at this photo reminded me of when we bought her the Dora doll for Christmas in 2006. I went back and dug up an old picture....

This past weekend the girls invited me to breakfast at La Madeleine to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our baby boy! We are going to have him in a couple of weeks and I received some much needed jammies, socks, onesies, blankies and toys...
